Chris Hill, CEO of The New World Trading Company, will be sharing his thoughts on the casual dining pub and bar sector at the show on opening day.
He’ll be discussing his experiences in helping to grow New World Trading Company’s innovative portfolio, including their plans for further expansion, and how an important focus on staff development secured them a top ten ranking on ‘The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies’ to work for in 2017.
What do you see as key trends for the casual dining sector in the coming year?
Consumers are increasingly aware of the food they eat. ‘Free-from’, vegan and low calorie foods will become increasing popular.
What do you feel is the key for operators, like you, to successfully compete against your competitors?
Staying true to your culture and drive high standards through happy, engaged teams. Give customers experiences that they are proud to share — every time.
Who or what inspires you to be even better?
Every day I work with an incredible team of talented people who inspire me to be a better CEO. My true hero though is my 4 year old daughter. She is my inspiration.
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Only worry about the things you can change.
